“The original notion of the word courage is to stand by one’s core. If to find our way to the core is to face the lion, then to stand by our core is to be the lion, he says. The cost of not doing so is numbness, or living death. Nepo sees courage as an ongoing series of choices. He relates his own experiences surviving cancer and overcoming certain fears. What makes the book valuable is his quiet understanding of the constant interplay of surface and depth in our lives, the need to let go of judgments and exercise compassion as we view our own flaws and the flaws of those around us.

HEALING AND SACRED TOUCH SESSIONS

and Bonnie Dutton, R.N.It is a primary Unity teaching that we are whole, perfect and divine in nature. When the body is supported through energetic healing it responds to its divine pattern of perfection.
Unity of Santa Barbara continues to offer Healing and Sacred Touch sessions on the first Friday of each month, by appointment, from 11:00-1:00. These sessions will be given on a love offering basis. To schedule an appointment call Russ Chaffin at 683-1255 or Bonnie Dutton at 967-3062.
